An article published on Refinery 29, states that parents with special needs children are 7.9 times more likely to lose their jobs or leave their jobs than their peers without children with special health needs, according to the Journal of Pediatric Health Care.
The same article states that, according to The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services parents with special needs children are almost 800 percent more likely to leave the workforce.
